I've decided to create an embroidered sampler inspired by Amy at Inspire Co. and 39 Squares. I haven't done anything like this since I was a kid, so I'm kind of excited to begin this little project. For 39 days, we will be creating a square each day using embroidery floss, buttons, and other embellishments. Pop on over to Amy's blogs to see her inspiring samplers. They're so sweet and cheery.
This is quite a commitment on my part-- I'm the queen of buying project materials and never following through and finishing. Although I'm doing this as a creative outlet, I'm also doing this as an exercise in self-discipline. It's just one, 1-inch square a day (and NOT micro-stitched, like Rosanna's beauties! This is a 1:1 project!). I can do this. I can do this... okay, wish me luck! Oh, and don't worry, I'll post my squares once a week so you can see how it's going!
Hugs,

Wishing for Spring...
The sun has come out, so I thought that I'd take a look at what's happening out on the porch of The Little Pink House. I can see that Meg is eager for spring... she's got some blooming flowers on the porch already.
A little while back my friend, Connie Sauve gave me a "housewarming" gift-- some wonderful flower pots, among several other wonderful mini's. (Thank you so much, Connie!) This is one of them, and I love it! Connie's an incredible doll artist. If you get the opportunity, please stop by her wonderful website, The China Doll, and view her incredible dolls.
This flower pot on the left is another wonderful gift from Connie. I've had them indoors this winter and now Meg has moved it to the porch. I think Meg and I are wishing for Spring...
