Welcome to "Reality Shot Thursday", hosted by the fabulous Claudia at Mockingbird Hill Cottage! Just keepin' it real here in Bloglandia, by posting a glimpse at the little, un-styled, un-fluffed images that are normally not included in our posts.
This image above is a snapshot of the "reality before the magic" as I was creating my floating pumpkins that were in a previous post. There's a lot going on in this photo... carving tools, the light that goes inside the pumpkin, glue (to fix "Jack's" broken tooth), graph paper with sketches of the jack o' lantern faces, plastic bags from the craft supplies purchased for the project... you get the idea. There's even a newly purchased Dash & Albert rug that I had thrown on the table the other day when I came home from shopping.
Thanks for stopping by for a little dose of reality~~ hope I didn't ruin the magic!

It didn't at all. I think there is magic in it already.
Have a nice day

Thanks so much for joining in, Jill! The photo is a great shot and shows the reality of the creative process - there has to be a mess along the way. I well remember your floating pumpkins and it's fun to see this before shot.
Oh, and a Dash and Albert rug....I'm jealous!

Carving pumpkins is always a fun time. Lots of guts to remove. Squishy.

The reality is - creating anything beautiful usually involves making a mess first! Nice shot.
You should see my table... and I'm only making a mini table.. LOL!
Keeping it real is a good thing...too many perfect images can give us all a bit of complex LOL! Creativity can't happen without mess...and your floating pumpkins are soooooo cool!
Keeping is real *is* a good thing! This mess was SO worth every bit of sytrofoam fluff, because the result was magical! I can vouche!
