iRemember

I remember visiting a friend studying computer science at UC Davis back in the mid 1980's. In her tiny dorm room sat this funny little box with a screen. She seemed so excited about it. I could tell it was kind of a big deal. Being the non-techi that I was, I thought "Well, I guess it's better than a typewriter." Oh, how little I knew. I didn't know that the man behind the box was changing the world in a big way.
I have a confession to make. I'm still not a techi. I don't own a Mac. I don't own an iPhone. I don't own an iPad. I don't even own an iPod.
But I do have a little blog. A little blog that has enabled me to connect with amazing people around the world in a way that I never dreamed.
Thank you, Steve Jobs~ the visionary, the man behind the funny little box with a screen... you changed my little world in a big way.

Dear Jill, I'm like you, I have a steam punk cell phone, I do not have a Mac, I do not have a iPod etc etc but , like you , I have a blog.
Yesterday I reflected on how much I rely on Internet and how difficult is to stay away from it.
It connects me to the world, helps me in daily chores and amuses me.
Definitely he has changed our world.
Have a nice day, Rosanna

Hi Jill,

Steve Jobs made it possible for women like us to "meet" and share our lives and loves.
I also do not have a Mac or IPad...but I thank Mr. Jobs for the opportunity to make daily connections through my blog!
Lovely post!

Steve Jobs was an amazing man, and until his passing I had no idea how much influence he has had on my daily life.
Beautifully written post Jill.

What an incredible legacy he left behind and even more impressive to me is that those of us without all those items still felt the impact he had on life as we know it.
